Retirement and Surfing

Image
While on holidays in Inverloch, Victoria, Australia, I decided to get up bright and early (5 am) to snap some photos at the local beach. Inverloch is a pretty coastal town in Victoria, Australia. It’s about 143 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, accessible via the South Gippsland Highway on the Bass Highway in the Bass Coast Shire of Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. After a while, standing in the strong winds and chilly weather, these two blokes seemed totally ready to catch some waves. I later discovered that this is their daily thing! They’re retired, but neither the cold nor the wind can stop them from surfing. I hope to be as fit and active as they are when I retire. It’s a real inspiration for everyone, no matter their age. Winter in the Alpine region of Victoria, Australia, Mt Buller.

This is what winter looks like  from the beautiful alpine region of Victoria, Australia, Mt Buller. The colour photos are taken at the top of Mt Buller. Black and White photos were taken at our Airbnb at the bottom of the mountain. According to the locals, they have never seen so much snowfall on the day I took the photos. For some locals, it was the first time they experienced so much snow in the neighbourhood.   More images in the video below
